There is more to car financing than a low monthly payment. Newbies make the mistake of looking for a low monthly payment or worse yet, tell the dealer what their monthly budget is. The longer the term of the loan, the more interest you will be paying and let's face it -- a car is not an appreciable asset. The moment you drive it off the lot it begins to decrease in worth.
